Help celebrate Etsy Craft Party 2013 Craft for the Community with Craft Bar Chicago’s “Pets for Life!” event on June 20th! Pets for Life is a program of the Humane Society of the United States that works directly with underserved communities by providing free animal care and wellness to those who would not normally have access.

Join us as we fashion home-made paracord collars which will go directly to dogs in need. Admission is five dollars or a bag of dog/cat food. Enter our raffle for your chance to win a custom pet portrait from Grass Green Design! A certified therapy dog will be available for cuddling while delicious, vegan snacks and drinks will be waiting for you at the bar. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of the United States Pets for Life  program!

What a fabulous opportunity to use your crafty-nature to help the Chicago Community!

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, so what better way to celebrate mom than with some beautiful, and wearable, May flowers?  This month, join Craft Bar Chicago and Etsy seller Gina Morgan as we learn the art of bead stringing and put our hand to making giftable floral creations.  Beading not your style?  Local artist and Etsy seller Wizard At Work will be on-hand to share simple embossing techniques for handmade cards. Don’t forget to fuel your creativity with a drink from the bar!

February’s Craft Bar Chicago celebrates the Art of Heart! Join Craft Bar Chicago on February 1st for a crafty festival of all things Valentines! This month we’ll be making Victorian Scrapbook Valentines, Crochet Heart Garlands, and learning the fine art of paper embroidery. $5 gets guests all of the supplies and instructions to make each project, plus snacks and drinks. Feel free to bring a craft you are working on as well!

Join us tomorrow, January 4th, for the 1st Craft Bar of 2013!

Unwind after the holiday hub-bub and untangle a slew of string-based crafts. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, and beading are on tap this month. You’re invited to join in the fun, and dig into this buffet of making.

As always, the event is $5, and will cover all materials and instructions.  Bring a project or pick up a new skill! 

If you’ve been procrastinating about buying tickets to join us at the Lillstreet Artisan Wedding Fair, you may just get rewarded!  We have three free tickets to give away for the event.  Join us to learn how to make origami paper flowers and turn them into bouquets, centerpieces, and hair adornments and also peruse the great vendors at the fair!
